Our verdict

Brevo's edge is its pricing axis: it bills on email send volume, not contact count. For a Shopify store with a large list that ships campaigns infrequently, that inverts the usual cost curve — you're not punished for list growth the way Klaviyo, Mailchimp or Constant Contact charge. The free plan (300 emails/day, up to 100K contacts, no time limit) is genuinely usable, and SMS, WhatsApp and a CRM are built in. Paid starts at $9 (Starter) / $18 (Standard), verified 2026. The trade-off is depth: automation is shallower than Klaviyo or ActiveCampaign, logo removal costs extra on Starter, the free plan has a daily send cap, and the Standard tier scales hard at high send volumes (to ~$669/mo at 1M emails). Pick Brevo if your list is large but low-frequency, you want SMS/WhatsApp in one tool, and budget matters more than automation depth. Skip it if Shopify-native flows and segmentation are the point — Klaviyo is the retention default, and Omnisend is the better Shopify-native free on-ramp for stores that send often.
