Yotpo’s real strength is not any single product — it is how its products and integrations connect. This guide covers what Yotpo integrates with on Shopify and which connections actually change outcomes.
Native Shopify integration
Yotpo is a Shopify Plus Technology Partner with a one-click install from the Shopify App Store. It syncs natively with your store data and works with Shopify POS, so reviews and loyalty activity tie back to real orders across online and in-person sales. There is no middleware required for the core connection.
The integrations that matter
- Klaviyo — the highest-value connection for most stores. Yotpo review and loyalty events feed Klaviyo flows, so a five-star review or a VIP-tier upgrade can trigger an email. If you run Klaviyo, wire this first.
- Review syndication — Yotpo pushes reviews out to Google Shopping, Meta, TikTok, and retailer networks like Target and Macy’s. This is the integration that turns collected reviews into off-site conversion, not just on-product-page social proof.
- Cross-product data sharing — within Yotpo, reviews and loyalty share a data layer. A customer’s review history, purchase behavior, and loyalty tier inform one another, which is the structural reason to run both Yotpo products rather than stitching two vendors together.
- Multi-platform support — beyond Shopify, Yotpo works across BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, and Salesforce, relevant if you run more than one storefront.
The honest caveat
Yotpo sunset its SMS and Email products on December 31, 2025. If you were hoping to integrate Yotpo as your email or SMS layer too, that path is closed — those channels now run through a separate vendor (Klaviyo, Omnisend, or similar), which makes the Klaviyo integration above more important, not less. Plan Yotpo as your reviews-and-loyalty layer that feeds your email tool, not as an all-in-one.
Who this is for
Yotpo’s integration depth pays off for mid-market and Shopify Plus brands running an integrated retention stack — especially when reviews, loyalty, and a Klaviyo flow engine work together. For a smaller store that just needs review collection, the syndication and cross-product machinery is more than the job requires; Judge.me or Loox are simpler.
